Model of a LOUISE Chair By Zanotta
You need to imagine a panel or a large sheet from which you can cut all the components of the seat’s supporting structure. The parts acquired this way are then assembled from the bottom upwards, in a very precise order, the rule of which is that each element is supported by the next, thus forming a microarchitecture, a bridge structure that houses the padded elements of the seat.
The design of the Louise armchair is based on the assembly of wooden components that create an ethereal structure. The extreme simplicity of the joints accentuates the contrast between the minimalism of the parts and the sturdiness of the chair. The alternation of solids and voids generates an optical effect of intersections and overlapping of the structural components, thus highlighting a visual silhouette that seems almost to move. The padded elements of the seat and backrest offer a high level of comfort.
Materials and colours:
- Solid beech frame, lacquered in the shades black or burgundy.
- Seat and backrest made of poplar multilayer with polyurethane upholstery. Removable cover in fabric or leather.
All necessary resources are packed in .blend file, and PBR materials used in models are prepared for other formats.
